Terms of Service

The rules for using plud. Written like a person, still legally real. Grab a snack.

Effective date: August 1, 2026

TL;DR

Use plud to study. Do not break things, steal content, or abuse the product. Your uploads stay yours. Paid plans renew until you cancel. Tina can be wrong, so double check before you stake a grade on it.

The deal

These Terms of Service are a real agreement between you (a person or a company) and plud. They cover your use of the plud study workspace and related services.

By using plud, you confirm you have read these terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, close the tab. That is the cleanest exit.

  • You are at least 13 years old

Your account

Signed in with Tekcify Auth

plud uses Tekcify Auth for login. When you create an account, you get a Tekcify account that can work across Tekcify products. It uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, Argon2 password hashing, and optional multi-factor authentication. Manage it at account.tekcify.com.

Creating an account

Some features need an account. When you register, you agree to:

  • Give us real info when you sign up
  • Keep that info up to date
  • Guard your password like exam answers
  • Own what happens under your account
  • Tell us fast if someone breaks in

Security is a group project

You keep your credentials private. If someone gets in because you reused a weak password, that one is on you, not us.

Play nice

What you can do

You may use the Service to:

  • Upload and organise study files in your Library
  • Generate quizzes, flashcards, study guides, and summaries
  • Use Teach Tina, chat, and other study tools with your content
  • Make podcasts, notes, and other learning material
  • Export and share what you create

What gets you kicked out

Do not do any of this:

Content violations

  • Upload copyrighted work you do not have rights to
  • Share illegal, harmful, or nasty material
  • Drop malware or other digital chaos
  • Violate someone else's privacy

Technical abuse

  • Bypass security or poke holes for fun
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the product
  • Spam us with bots or scrapers
  • Try to knock the service offline

Commercial misuse

  • Resell or redistribute plud
  • Use plud only to copy us for a competitor
  • Share one paid login across a crowd
  • Build off our product without written permission

Account abuse

  • Spin up fake accounts to farm free trials
  • Impersonate people or invent identities
  • Run payment fraud
  • Harass the support team. They are humans.
ownership, clear cut

Who owns what

Our stuff

plud owns the product: the code, design, features, and brand. Those are protected by copyright, trademark, and other IP laws. Looking does not mean copying.

Your stuff

You keep the rights to what you upload. By putting content in plud, you give us a limited license to:

  • Store and process your files so the product works
  • Use Tina with your materials to generate study tools
  • Keep backups so we do not lose your work
  • Show your content back to you inside plud

That license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

We can change the product

We may modify, pause, or retire parts of the Service. If a change really messes with how you use plud, we will give reasonable notice when we can.
the serious bit

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability caps at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim
  • Keep your own backups. We are not your only copy of anything important
  • We do not promise perfect uptime, perfect security, or zero bugs
  • Output from Tina is provided as is. Treat it as a study aid, not gospel

No magical warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT IT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR FREE.
cover us

If something blows up

You agree to defend and hold harmless plud and our team from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) that come from:

  • How you use or misuse plud
  • Breaking these terms
  • Stepping on someone else's rights
  • Your User Content
exits

Ending things

You can leave

Close your account anytime by:

  • Deleting your account in settings
  • Emailing [email protected]
  • Cancelling your subscription first if you are on a paid plan

We can show you the door

We may suspend or end access if:

  • You break these terms
  • You run fraud
  • Your account sits quiet for 12 months or more
  • The law says we have to

After goodbye

When the account ends, access ends with it. We delete your data within 30 days unless the law says keep it. Export anything you care about before you leave.
disputes

Law and fights

Governing law

These terms follow the laws of the jurisdiction where plud operates, without the conflict of law detours.

How we settle it

1
Talk it out

Email us first. Most issues die in a normal conversation.

2
Mediation

If that fails, we try mediation before anyone gets dramatic.

3
Arbitration

Still stuck? Binding arbitration. Court is not plan A.

When these change

We can update these terms. For material changes, we will:

  • Post the new terms on this page
  • Update the effective date up top
  • Email you when the change is big
  • Show a clear notice inside plud

Keep using plud after changes take effect and you accept the new terms. If you hate the update, stop using the Service.
